From Couch Chaos to Furniture Freedom: How Cobber Rescues Siblings Everywhere

When I first heard about Cobber, I thought about my two sisters. I thought about my grandma. I thought about my mom. And I thought about the opportunity this app could open for them.

But more than that, I thought about myself! As a younger brother, it has been my duty to move my older sisters into eleven different residencies. This has led me to travel hundreds, possibly thousands, of miles across the Southeast United States just to move furniture. If only Cobber was available in America, my time, money, and loyalty as a younger brother would have been saved.

Respectfully, my sisters are extremely selective. They accept nothing less than the highest quality, but they want high quality on a budget. They need the comfiest couch, the most modern nightstand, and more pillows than you can imagine. They even hand-select every lampshade!

After years of strategic shopping, my sisters finally found the perfect set of furniture and decorations at the perfect price. So it’s my job to preserve it (a.k.a. move it hundreds of miles across the country every time they move cities). However, if my sisters had Cobber, they could have found cheap, second-hand furniture that met their requirements each time they moved. With Cobber, they could have found furniture on Facebook Marketplace and got it delivered right to their front door. I wouldn’t have even had to move a finger!

Unfortunately, we live in the United States, and I cannot simply ask my sisters to get up and move to South Australia where Cobber is available. However, I can help Cobber grow as a business and expand their services to benefit more of the world. This is exactly the opportunity I was given.

I attend North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, but was blessed to study abroad at the University of Adelaide this summer. Through the Adelaide Business School and ThincLab, my team of students and I worked under Roann, Cobber’s founder, to improve Cobber’s search engine optimization on Google, enhance its social media presence, and create a marketing guideline for the month of July. After a two-week sprint of gathering all the information we could on these topics, my team and I pitched our findings to Roann. I am hoping that my team’s work will have a lasting impact on Cobber’s marketing approach.

A huge thank you to Roann for providing me with an incredible learning experience and to all the Aussies for warmly welcoming me into their beautiful country. I am forever grateful for the life down under and hope to return as soon as I have the chance.

I wish Cobber the best and am hopeful it will help many people, including siblings like myself. To all of the brothers out there, please tell your sisters to download Cobber today! 😁
